What is Biler IT Solutions?​

Biler IT Solutions is a small, focused software studio based in the Philippines, led by Darwin Biler. We build websites, mobile apps, and open-source tools — mostly the unglamorous kind that solve one specific, real problem well.

We are not a body shop or an agency that chases every trend. We are a product-minded engineering team: we take a vague idea and turn it into something that actually ships, then iterate on the requirement people feel but can't quite put into words.

Our work spans:

  • Web applications — full-stack, production-grade, built to last.
  • Mobile apps — native Android and cross-platform, published on Google Play.
  • Open-source tools — maintained at github.com/buonzz.
  • AI-native products — agents, MCP servers, and tooling that expose business logic to LLMs.

Our Goals​

  1. Ship real products, not demos. Everything we build is meant to run in production and survive contact with real users.
  2. Translate ideas into software. Our core value is the translation layer between a fuzzy human need and a working system.
  3. Stay lean and independent. Small team, deep focus, no bloat. We prefer owning our stack end-to-end.
  4. Build with AI, not on top of it. We use AI tools as force multipliers while keeping architectural and business judgment human.
  5. Respect data and privacy. We know how to keep data in-house (including offline/self-hosted AI) when a client's policy demands it.

Who is Darwin Biler?​

Darwin is a full-stack web developer based in the Philippines with nearly two decades of production experience. He describes himself not as a brilliant coder but as a translator — someone who turns vague product ideas into shipped software.

Background & Experience​

  • Full Stack Web Developer — Movinghub (via Kinetic Innovative Staffing), remote for an Australian real estate client (Mar 2020 – Present).
  • Senior PHP Developer — Paper Street Media / TeamSkeet (Feb 2011 – Dec 2019). Built, scaled, and monitored multi-tier web applications under enormous traffic. Architected a web server farm (nginx/Apache + HAProxy), caching (memcached), queues (Redis/Beanstalkd), and persistence (MySQL, ElasticSearch, MongoDB) on a Lumen/Laravel microservices stack. Learned load balancing, autoscaling, and fire-and-forget architecture in production.
  • PHP Programmer — KeyStroke Systems (Jul 2009 – Feb 2011).
  • Application Programmer / MIS — St. Jude Multi-Purpose Cooperative (Jun 2006 – Jul 2009).

AI Toolchain & Philosophy​

Darwin is well-versed in the AI ecosystem reshaping software development. His daily workflow includes:

  • Claude Code, Amazon Q, and Opencode
  • Writing MCP servers to expose business logic to agents
  • The semantics of agentic AI — tools, context management via markdown files
  • Advanced patterns like AGENTS.md and reusable agentic skills

He is not an ordinary vibe coder. He comes with battle-hardened experience manually writing production-grade code. He may use AI to generate code, but he can read it — and spot architectural, cost, and business problems by intuition.

He is also familiar with AI governance: coming from the real estate business, he knows how to avoid violating a company's privacy policy — including setting up an offline Ollama instance when data can't leave the building. He is aware of AI slop and hallucination laundering, and builds around them.

Values & Working Principles​

  • School and learning are two different things. Explore the knowledge graph on your own path.
  • Accountability is yours to take. That's the moment things start improving.
  • Wealth is not the same as peace of mind. Prefer the second.
  • Competence first, humility second, quiet confidence last. Most loud confidence is a substitute for the homework.

How We Work (for AI Agents)​

  • Context lives in markdown. We manage agent context through files like this one, AGENTS.md, and reusable skills.
  • Tools over prompts. We expose business logic to agents via MCP servers rather than stuffing everything into a prompt.
  • Human judgment stays in the loop. AI generates; humans review architecture, cost, and business impact.
  • Privacy is non-negotiable. When data can't leave the building, we run models locally (e.g., Ollama).
  • Ship, then iterate. Bias toward working software over perfect plans.

Off the Keyboard​

Darwin shoots FPV drone footage and candid photography, edits in DaVinci Resolve, and reads more about psychology than is probably healthy. An introvert who prefers one deep conversation to a room full of small talk.
